KONAMI OPEN 2010 Competitive Swim Meet on January 16 and 17
to be Held Featuring 20 Members of Japan’s National Team
and Live Internet Broadcast of All Races

Konami Sports & Life Co.,Ltd. will hold KONAMI OPEN 2010 Competitive Swim Meet at Konami Sports Club Honten-Nishinomiya in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo on Saturday, January 16 and Sunday, January 17, 2010.

KONAMI OPEN is one of the few long course swim meets officially sanctioned by the Japan Swimming Federation and is open to swimmers that qualify.

Many members of the national team have participated in past competitions, and many others have become members of the national team. Several records have been broken as well, including national ones.

This will be the 26th KONAMI OPEN, to which 20 members of Japan’s national team that competed in the World Aquatics Championships this past summer have been invited, and a total of 763 athletes, including young up-and-coming swimmers, will gather for an exciting competition.

All the races from the preliminaries to the finals will be broadcast, so those who are unable to make it to the venue will be able to watch the heated races and witness records being broken from computers at home or other places.

Konami Sports & Life Co.,Ltd. will contribute to the further development of the sport of swimming in Japan and improved competitiveness by holding this event which will host a bevy of athletes, from elementary and junior high school swimmers with national team aspirations to world-class swimmers that go head-to-head with the very best.
