~ The 43rd All Japan Adult Gymnastics Championships ~

September 11, 2010

Konami Sports & Life Co., Ltd.

“ The 43rd All Japan Adult Gymnastics Championships” were held at the Kitakyushu Municipal Gymnasium(Fukuoka) on September 10.

This athletic meet was used to determine the top gymnasts in both the team and individual events for adults as well as acting as a preliminary contest for the various categories of the All Japan Gymnastics Team Championships to be held in Yamaguchi Prefecture in December this year and the All Japan Gymnastics Individual Championships scheduled for May next year.

KONAMI’s team members fought together to win for 2nd year (3 times in total) as the title of Championship Team.

In the individuals section, world championship representative Uematsu racked up the points with a strong performance for his first victory, and was awarded the Prime Minister’s Cup. In the event categories, winning performances were seen by Okiguchi on the floor, Kobayashi on the rings and Uematsu on the bars. KONAMI won gold medal in 4 of the 6 event categories, including a win from Ueda on the pommel horse.

From here, KONAMI’s team members will continue to gather strength as they aim for the World Gymnastics Championships to be held in London in this October and the All Japan Gymnastics Team Championships to be held in Yamaguchi Prefecture in December.

We ask for your continued support of KONAMI’s team members.
